Launched on June 30, 2023, the Java Nursing Journal (JNJ) is an international publication that provides a platform for nursing scholarships with an Asian focus and perspective from the region. JNJ welcomes original research submissions, review articles, theory & concept development, perspectives, letters to editors, research methodology papers, study protocols, nursing philosophy papers, case studies, and guest editorials on various clinical and professional nursing topics.
We also welcome “negative” results (i.e., studies that do not support the hypothesized differences or associations), provided the designs are robust. Discussion papers outlining the problems and challenges facing health care in one country are welcome, provided the discussion is based on research-based evidence. The authors speak to global and local audiences.
Nurses and midwives write most of the papers at JNJ. Still, there is no limitation on writing as long as the articles are consistent with their stated purpose and scope, especially for implications for nursing science or nursing practice. JNJ's intended audience includes practicing nurses and midwives at all levels and at all levels who are committed to advancing training and professional development based on new knowledge and evidence; managers and senior members of the nursing and midwifery professions; nurse educators and nursing students; and researchers in other disciplines with interest in common issues and interdisciplinary collaboration.
JNJ is the official publication of the Global Indonesia Health Care Foundation, in collaboration with the Indonesian National Nurses Association
